Job Description

The Analytical Chemist Associate performs physical, chemical or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples. The Associate applies various chemistry techniques and scientific methods to characterize test materials to enable P&G experimental objectives. Technical deliverables include, but are not limited to: basic bench chemistry techniques (including pH, viscosity and particle size), sample preparation, chromatography, gravimetric analysis). Receives and follow instructions on assignment objectives with accuracy and great attention to detail. Spends the largest percentage of time in the laboratory. Associate analysts must use their analytical skills to understand how the collected data can affect business decisions, then prepare reports that detail findings and recommend solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instrumentation operation, sample analysis, Notebook documentation, reviewing reports, quality systems compliance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Relevant experience in an academic or industrial lab setting with emphasis on notebook documentation.
  • Ability to analyze and document various different types of data.
  • Ability to operate basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometer, etc.
  • Strong math skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
