UI / UX Designer

Overview of the Role

Our client is seeking a UX/UI Designer to lead the design of complex digital products and web experiences. This role blends user-centered design, human factors, and regulated product considerations-ideal for someone passionate about improving healthcare and safety-critical experiences. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, compliant, and impactful solutions from concept through implementation.

The Basics

• Location: Fully Remote
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Duration: 2 months

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design for complex digital products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end user-centered design processes
• Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or similar) preferred
• Knowledge of usability, human factors, and risk mitigation in design
• Experience conducting or supporting user research (interviews, usability testing, task analysis)
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams (engineering, product, clinical, regulatory)
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Understanding of information architecture and interaction design principles

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement UX/UI design strategies for digital products and websites
• Lead design initiatives from concept through execution across multiple projects
• Translate user needs and research insights into intuitive, effective design solutions
• Create UX deliverables including user flows, site maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and use cases
• Present design concepts and articulate rationale to stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with product roadmaps, timelines, and regulatory requirements
• Apply best practices in usability engineering and human-centered design
• Contribute to and optimize design processes, tools, and standards
