Executive plans, books, and manages all aspects of trips (flights, hotels, transport, activities) for clients or employees, ensuring cost-effectiveness, policy compliance, and smooth logistics, while also handling customer service, troubleshooting issues, negotiating rates, and staying updated on travel trends to deliver great experiences. Key duties include itinerary creation, vendor coordination, budget management, and providing detailed travel info.
Key ResponsibilitiesBooking & Logistics: Arrange flights, accommodations, ground transport, and activities. Itinerary Management: Develop detailed, efficient, and cost-effective travel plans. Customer Service: Act as a main contact, assist with inquiries, resolve issues (cancellations, changes) professionally. Vendor Management: Negotiate rates with airlines, hotels, and suppliers to secure best deals. Policy & Budget: Ensure compliance with company travel policies, monitor expenses, and manage budgets. Documentation: Handle visa applications and maintain accurate records of bookings and transactions. Industry Knowledge: Stay current on travel trends, destinations, and regulations. Core Skills & QualificationsExcellent organizational and communication skills.Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.Knowledge of booking systems and travel software.Relevant degree (Tourism, Hospitality) and prior experience often required. Types of RolesCorporate Travel Executive: Focuses on company employee travel, policies, and cost savings. Sales/Tour Executive: Promotes and sells packages, focusing on sales targets and client relationships.
