The main product categories are wires (Tungsten and Molybdenum), wire products (Pins, Cut lengths, Evaporation Coils), Machined products of Tungsten and Molybdenum and flat products like boats.


About the Role


We are immediately hiring for Tool Engineering - Tool Management in CNC machining Cutting Tools Application Engineer responsible for cutting tool development, process optimization, vendor management, and tooling cost reduction initiatives. The role focuses on improving machining productivity, tool life, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency


Job Role: Cutting Tool Application Engineer

Work Experience: 4 - 5 years

Work Location: Mysore, Karnataka, India


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cutting tool solutions for new products and machining applications.
  • Optimize tooling and machining processes to reduce cycle time, improve tool life, and lower Cost Per Component (CPC).
  • Troubleshoot tooling-related issues on the shop floor and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and qualify multiple cutting tool vendors to reduce single-source dependency.
  • Drive the utilization of regrind tools and standard tooling to improve cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain tool drawings, specifications, and regrinding acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor tooling performance and maintain tool life data, trial reports, and lessons learned.
  • Update and maintain Tool Management (TM) sheets and tooling documentation.
  • Manage tooling inventory by identifying slow-moving, non-moving, and blocked tools and planning their utilization.
  • Maintain tooling QMS documents, including procedures, work instructions, Kaizens, audit records, and reports.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, audits, performance reviews, and follow up on CAPA actions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to achieve manufacturing objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Education Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with cutting parameters, tool coatings, tool regrinding, and productivity improvement techniques
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
