SUMMARY:

A leading South African bank in Johannesburg CBD, is seeking an experienced Payments Tester to join their technology team on a 6 month contract basis. This role will focus on Cross-Border Payments initiatives, supporting critical systems that facilitate international transactions and regulatory compliance.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, system integration, and regression testing across payments platforms.
Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts aligned with business requirements.
Validate Cross-Border payment flows, settlement processes, and transaction messaging.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.

Required Experience

5+ years’ experience in Software Testing within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
Strong experience testing Payments platforms.
Proven experience with Cross-Border Payments and international transaction processing.
Understanding of SWIFT messaging, payment settlement flows, and transaction lifecycles.
Eximbills Enterprise exp.
Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
