Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Transformer Test Engineer to carry out routine, type, and special tests on power and distribution transformers as per applicable standards. The candidate will ensure transformers meet quality, performance, and safety requirements before dispatch.

• Perform routine testing of distribution and power transformers as per IS/IEC standards.
• Conduct tests such as:
• IR (Insulation Resistance) Test
• Winding Resistance Test
• Voltage Ratio & Vector Group Test
• No Load Loss & Current Test
• Load Loss & Impedance Voltage Test
• Magnetic Balance Test
• Capacitance & Tan Delta Test
• HV Test / Applied & Induced Voltage Test
• Oil BDV Test and Oil Quality checks
• Prepare and maintain test reports, protocols, and documentation.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of test instruments.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, production, and design teams for resolving test failures.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for test deviations.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and inspection requirements.
• Support customer/third-party inspections (TPI) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
• Maintain safety standards during HV testing activities.

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience in transformer testing (preferred).
• Good knowledge of transformer construction, core-coil assembly, and testing standards.

• 2–5 years (as per company requirement)
