We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer, in this role you will embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in test automation and quality assurance.

Working closely with the QA Lead and experienced Test Automation Engineers, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated tests for our software applications, ensuring they deliver exceptional performance and user experience.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact within our Quality Assurance team.

A Little About You...

1+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on test automation
Exposure to automating tests for mobile applications with large customer bases (especially React Native applications)
Familiarity with test automation technologies and languages such as; Appium, WebdriverIO & TypeScript
Hands-on experience working with an automation framework and an understanding of design patterns (such as Page Object Model)
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git

Desirable

Knowledge of SQL for queries and data manipulation
Familiarity with supplemental testing technologies such as Allure and Mocha
Experience with AI tools for test automation, especially hands-on MCP usage
Basic understanding of API testing and ability to write automated API tests
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of WCAG standards and experience in accessibility testing including mobile screen readers (such as Talkback & VoiceOver)
Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for test management and documentation

About the role...

Test Automation

Assist in developing and maintaining automated tests for mobile applications using tools like WebdriverIO, Playwright or Appium, there is opportunity to work within our web automation also
Participate in functional testing on new and improved features in our mobile application, assist in QA related release activities to deliver for our customers
Identify and deliver automated tests based on high priority areas of our application that lack coverage, with a focus on maintainable, reusable componentised tests
Support the implementation of testing frameworks and strategies to enable faster delivery and QA practices, with a desire to embed this within CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity or Jenkins

Collaboration

Work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to debug and resolve issues efficiently
Contribute to ensuring compliance with specific Mobile Accessibility standards and promote inclusive design principles
Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to enhance testability and quality in software design

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation and QA methodologies
Contribute to continuous improvement, suggesting innovative solutions to enhance product quality and team efficiency
Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure overall product quality and security

Compliance and Standards

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to software quality (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 27001)
Conduct API testing, ensuring validation of application functionalities
Utilize SQL knowledge for data validation and backend testing
Engage with a large testing team to share knowledge, learn from others and work collaboratively
