Your Profile

We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead regional sales growth for medium voltage drives (MV drives), variable frequency drives (VFDs), drive systems, medium and low voltage motors, and a full portfolio of industrial automation and power solutions. This role focuses on territory management, account development, and technical sales across a high‑potential Midwest region.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in electrical power equipment sales, industrial motors, and power electronics, along with a proven ability to build relationships with OEMs, distributors, end users, and EPC firms.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Management

  • Manage and grow accounts across Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan through strategic territory planning and market analysis
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, end users, and key decision‑makers
  • Identify new business opportunities, drive lead generation, and onboard new accounts
  • Increase wallet share and expand presence within assigned customer base
  • Develop high‑quality account plans using CRM and standard sales tools

Sales Leadership & Execution

  • Achieve sales quotas for medium voltage drives, MV VFDs, industrial motors, and related industrial services
  • Support direct account managers and manufacturers’ reps throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with business development, inside sales, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Drive specification influence with OEMs and channel partners
  • Execute solution selling, value‑based selling, and technical selling strategies

Technical & Product Expertise

  • Demonstrate strong technical understanding of drive systems, motor control systems, and industrial automation applications
  • Provide application support and technical guidance to customers
  • Promote digitalization solutions, predictive maintenance, and service agreements across the installed base
  • Understand customer buying behavior and internal processes to drive long‑term engagement

Customer Engagement & Collaboration

  • Serve as a customer advocate and build long‑term, win‑win relationships
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and marketing teams
  • Support customer needs through strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 5–10 years of experience selling electrical power equipment
  • Strong background in account management, new business development, and territory management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
  • Ability to quickly learn technical products and industrial applications
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving market expansion

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience with Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives (MV VFDs)
  • Experience in power electronics design
  • Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical, or Municipal utilities
  • Familiarity with industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, and motor control systems

The pay range for this position is $87,000 - $149,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
