About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced AWS/Node.js Developer for a 3-month initial contract. This remote-based position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions, primarily focusing on building the AWS Layer to facilitate data extraction from backend systems and developing APIs to seamlessly integrate with frontend applications. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions that enhance our client's operational efficiency and technological capabilities. Candidates must be based in the UK to qualify for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Node.js development, with a strong understanding of frameworks and best practices.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and S3.
• Experience implementing security and configuration management using AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps Pipelines and managing Git repositories.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project delivery.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Step Functions to support backend data processing.
• Create and manage APIs using Amazon API Gateway to facilitate secure and efficient data exchange with frontend systems.
• Implement messaging solutions with Amazon SQS to ensure reliable data transfer and process orchestration.
• Work with data storage solutions such as DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and S3 to store, search, and retrieve data effectively.
• Configure and manage security parameters using AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store to safeguard sensitive information.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts with CloudFormation to automate deployment and scaling processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS developments and incorporate best practices into solution architecture.
