Role Statement
Execute the Company’s Sales Strategy by creating and managing high-energy, results-based sales teams in assigned territory. This role will be responsible for our Idaho and Montana regions.

Territory Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Develop, direct and lead branch sales teams to meet or exceed Company’s transaction, gross margin and average ticket value in assigned territory.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop strategies for market penetration.
- Manage and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
- Create Value Proposition for each branch to prepare its sales team to go to market; refine and modify Value Proposition as warranted to maintain transactions and gross margins.
- Partner with regional managers to prevent, or address and resolve, conflict between Sales and Operations so that Company goals are achieved while providing excellent customer and employee experiences.
- Regularly assess sales team member’s product knowledge, identify gaps and assign training to create a culture of continuous learning and curiosity.
- Assist sales teams in researching markets, identifying target customers and executing sales strategies.
- Ensure the sales team has adequate support personnel and measure results against established goals for transactions, tickets and gross margin.
- Deliver timely performance feedback to sales personnel and hold accountable individuals and teams alike to meet or exceed stated goals and title-specific metrics.
- Review customer account activity and assign customer to appropriate sales personnel based on customer spend and service needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Establish relationships with potential clients and assess their requirements to offer tailored solutions.
- Occasionally survey existing customers to solicit feedback on branch performance and pricing.
- Occasionally ride along with sales professionals to observe and monitor effectiveness.
- Ensure consistent application of Quote Management Guidelines.
- Review and approve quotes and proposals for clients.
- Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with customers to finalize sales agreements.
- Create and execute action plans for variances from stated goals.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Regularly report to the director of sales and is accountable for results.
- Report projected sales to, and coordinate with, Purchasing / Fulfillment to ensure adequate supply.
- Provide current feedback on pricing strategies and their effectiveness per branch.
- Review and approve sales commissions.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience.
- Four (4) years of related experience with progressive management experience.
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
- This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bending, or standing on a stool as necessary.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- May require exerting up to 80 pounds of force seldom and/or up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
