Job Description:

Huge is seeking a Technology Director based in India to lead and scale engineering teams supporting a major global client. The role to start will be focused on building, managing, and maturing technology delivery teams, operations, and craft leadership within our India once.


You will be accountable for:

  • Building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
  • Ensuring delivery excellence across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establishing repeatable operating models that support increased project throughput.
  • Working with global technology leadership to deploy and train the team on modern code and QA tools including Gemini.
  • Growing and caring for technology craft members.
  • Partnering closely with onshore Technology Directors, Delivery, and Account Leadership.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own delivery quality, velocity, and predictability for project engagements.
  • Collaborate with onshore Technology Directors and Delivery leads to plan capacity, sting models, and delivery approaches.
  • Ensure consistent application of Agile / Lean delivery practices across teams.
  • Implement and reinforce best practices for SDLC governance, code quality, testing, and DevOps.
  • Identify delivery risks early and proactively mitigate issues related to stating, dependencies, or execution.
  • Ability to champion AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini Code Assist, GitHub Copilot) and other AI tooling to enhance team velocity and code quality.
  • Scale capacity to support increased project volume and longer-term managed service engagements.
  • Standardize onboarding, ways of working, and technical practices to support rapid team ramp-up.
  • Contribute to defining cross-time zone delivery playbooks, stating models, and cost-efficient team structures.
  • Act as a key bridge between cross-time zone teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on expectations, timelines, and quality.
  • Collaborate with global Engineering Craft leadership to align standards, tooling, technical direction as well as project tags and successes
  • Support leadership by providing transparency into India capacity, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Understanding of AI ethics, security compliance, and data governance regarding the use of proprietary data in AI models. Support one leadership to hire, develop, scale, and mentor multi-disciplinary.
  • technology teams across web and platform delivery. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, cross craft collaboration and engineering excellence within the India once.
  • Manage career paths, performance expectations, and growth frameworks aligned with Huge’s global standards.
  • Support the evolution of India capabilities in emerging areas (e.g., cloud platforms, composable architectures, AI-enabled development).


What We’d Like to See:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in technology delivery, with significant time spent leading offshore or globally distributed teams.
  • Proven experience building and scaling engineering organizations of 10–50 technologists.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing managers and senior technical leaders.
  • Experience running delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Deep understanding of Agile / Lean delivery methodologies in distributed team environments.
  • Experience governing SDLCs, delivery metrics, and quality standards at scale.
  • Strong operational mindset with experience in capacity planning, utilization management, and delivery forecasting.
  • Solid technical background across modern web, mobile, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with GCP cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience supporting teams working with CMS platforms, Design Systems, APIs, microservices, and headless architectures.
  • Ability to guide technical decision-making without being hands-on day-to-day.
  • Additional consideration given for experience working directly with Google internal proprietary platforms and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and disciplines.
  • Comfortable partnering with senior global stakeholders while representing team needs and constraints.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
