Technical Project Manager

About the Role:

The Technical Project Manager will oversee data management, generate business insights, integrate BI technologies, and manage delivery across project(s) to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: Work with the client stakeholders and cross functional team(s), internal or external, to ensure the team delivers the services as per their expectations leading to high customer satisfaction.
• Manage contract & financial performance: Own the overall contractual and financial performance of the account by working with Financial Analyst(s) and Legal team for existing and new potential opportunities.
• Grow & develop business: Accountable for coming up with a strategy at an account level to identify new opportunities by developing deep understanding of their overall technical set up and upcoming priorities over period of time.
• Good understanding of data analytics, data warehousing, and reporting tools.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
• Lead a team of Analytics developers and Data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success & ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to research and identify areas of interest for the client on technical offerings aligned to their long-term interests.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and next steps.
• Allocate resources effectively, manage budgets, and ensure the team has the necessary tools and training.
• Identify and address resource constraints or bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 11 years of overall experience, with over 8 years in data analytics or related fields and a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of data analytics, data warehousing, and reporting tools.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency in either of the BI tools – MSTR, PBI, or Tableau.
• Proficiency in either Data engineering or Data science.
• Proven track record of delivering successful data analytics projects and involvement in managing end-to-end delivery, which includes managing Finances, Stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in data analytics or project management are a plus.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Exposure to the Retail and CPG domain.
• Exposure to advanced AI concepts like Gen AI, LLM, Agentic AI.
