Technical Head – Solar Pump & Solar Pump Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Head – Solar Pump & Solar Pump Controller to lead testing, diagnostics, servicing, and technical support operations for our solar pumping systems. This role ensures optimal product functionality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, while working closely with engineering, R&D, and service teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and quality checks on solar pumps and controllers before dispatch and after installation
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported from the field, ensuring timely resolution
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on solar pumping systems
• Support installation teams with technical guidance and on-site troubleshooting
• Accurately document test results, service reports, and maintenance logs
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to report defects, suggest improvements, and validate product enhancements
• Train and guide service technicians on standard testing and servicing procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities
• Manage warranty service requests and coordinate repairs or replacements
• Maintain inventory of testing equipment, tools, and spare parts

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• Proven experience in testing, servicing, or maintenance of solar pumps, controllers, or similar electromechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel for field service visits
• Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and industry standards
