Team Leader I, Shipping

Due to continuous growth, CommScope is looking to hire a Team Leader I, Shipping> to be based at our site in . This role will be responsible for releasing work orders and coordination with the production team and vendors for timely production/supply of material and ensuring smooth production without any shortage of material.

How You'll Help Us Connect The World

• Monitor finished goods inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for customer orders while avoiding overstocking.
• Track product movement throughout the warehouse, from production lines to shipping docks.
• Conduct cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
• Process customer orders by pulling required finished goods from the warehouse.
• Generate shipping documents and labels, coordinating with the shipping department for timely delivery.
• Manage backorders and communicate potential delays to customers.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of production runs and meet delivery schedules.
• Communicate production status updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and address potential production bottlenecks that could impact finished goods availability.
• Maintain detailed records of finished goods inventory levels within the SAP system.
• Generate reports on inventory turnover, sales trends, and potential stock issues.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in inventory management.
• Conduct quality checks on finished goods before shipment to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with quality control teams to address any quality issues.
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
• Work with shipping carriers to schedule deliveries and manage transportation costs.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished goods.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles
• Proficiency with SAP systems and data analysis
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple departments
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and shipping delays
• Primarily office-based with regular interaction with warehouse and production areas.
• Need to work in all 3 shifts.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications For Consideration

• Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as B. Com/B. A with minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Degree /Diploma with minimum 2+ years of experience.
• High level of skill and knowledge in warehouse operations with demonstrated ability to function in a Co-ordinator role. Good numeric skill. Familiar with material and inventory ordering and distribution processes. Familiar with storage and disposal of chemicals, Bulk, Shelf life, FIFO parts.
