Job Summary

To support the Taxation Division in advancing tax policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement by assisting in the organization of tax-related events and initiatives, actively networking and engaging with members to facilitate participation and secure sponsorships for the Division, contributing to policy research and analysis, and preparing industry focused submissions and representations on taxation matters for effective engagement with government and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Taxation • Plan, conduct, and manage tax-related events/conferences during the year.

• Mobilise sponsorship support for initiatives and programmes of the Taxation Division.

• Undertake research on taxation issues and support the preparation and submission of policy representations.

• The position will also involve analysis of direct tax, GST, and customs-related matters, identification of challenges faced by industry, preparation of draft notes, technical papers, and representations for submission before the relevant authorities, and active engagement with prospective stakeholders to facilitate addition of new members to the organisation. Skills & Competencies

• Strong drafting and presentation skills, including preparation of PPTs, policy notes, and policy submissions.

• Ability to analyse and interpret tax laws with working knowledge of changes through circulars, notifications, and instructions.

• Prior experience in tax policy and advocacy, including conducting and managing events and conferences on tax matters and engaging with members to secure sponsorships for the Division, with the ability to identify industry issues and contribute to strengthening FICCI’s tax policy initiatives aligned with key Government priorities such as Ease of Doing Business and Viksit Bharat.
