Summary Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in supporting The Gorilla Glue Company’s staffing objectives by partnering closely with Operations plant leaders to recruit and hire high-quality talent that aligns with our Core Values and operational needs.

This position primarily focuses on recruiting operations-based, non-exempt roles, while also coordinating temporary staffing support through external agency partnerships. The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, relationship-building skills, and the ability to adapt to fluctuating hiring demands driven by operational and seasonal business needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist also collaborates with HR and leadership to ensure recruiting processes remain efficient, effective, and aligned with company goals.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Manage the recruiting process from job requisition through offer and onboarding preparation for assigned Operations roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and align on candidate profiles.
  • Create and publish job postings across recruiting platforms and manage job postings within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Review applications and screen candidates to evaluate qualifications, experience, and alignment with company culture.
  • Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Provide candidate feedback and recommendations to hiring managers to support hiring decisions.
  • Extend job offers and coordinate required documentation including offer letters, background checks, and drug screens.
  • Enter and manage candidate data within HRIS and onboarding systems to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics and communicate necessary information to new employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies to support operational hiring needs.
  • Monitor agency performance and collaborate with partners to improve candidate quality and delivery timelines.
  • Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting and recruiting metrics for leadership.
  • Support HR initiatives such as employee events, engagement activities, and training programs as needed.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; equivalent education or experience considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting recruiting or talent acquisition activities, such as coordinating interviews, sourcing candidates, managing applicant tracking systems, or assisting recruiters and hiring managers through the hiring process.
  • Exposure to working as part of a recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition team, with a foundational understanding of recruiting workflows and candidate experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support several open roles simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage recruiting processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where hiring needs may shift based on business demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, operations, or distribution environments.
  • Experience working with temporary staffing agencies or vendor-managed staffing programs.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Understanding of recruiting metrics and workforce planning concepts.
