As a Supplier Quality Engineer specializing in Castings and Machining, you will engage in a dynamic, high‑impact workday focused on supplier development and quality assurance. You will begin by coordinating supplier qualification activities and reviewing quality performance data for key Power Generation Core Engine components.
Throughout the day, you will work closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams across regions to ensure that all casting and machining processes meet Siemens Energy’s strict technical and quality standards. Your routine will involve auditing suppliers, driving qualification programs, and ensuring continuous quality improvement. You will also collaborate proactively with global stakeholders to support early supplier involvement in new product development.

Throughout the day, you will work closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams across regions to ensure that all casting and machining processes meet Siemens Energy’s strict technical and quality standards. Your routine will involve auditing suppliers, driving qualification programs, and ensuring continuous quality improvement. You will also collaborate proactively with global stakeholders to support early supplier involvement in new product development.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead supplier qualification activities for Casting and Machining commodities in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Conduct capability assessments and initial audits for new and existing suppliers.
- Manage Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) in accordance with relevant standards and process descriptions.
- Guide suppliers to comply with Siemens Energy Quality Management Processes and related tools.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and drive corrective and preventive action plans.
- Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, including RCA, 8D, and risk mitigation measures.
- Track the closure and effectiveness of improvement actions.
- Support early supplier involvement during product development, partnering closely with global SQ teams.
- Plan and execute periodic supplier audits and support regular performance reviews.
- Collaborate effectively with global teams and internal customers across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing.
- Strong experience in casting production methods and both large‑scale and precision machining processes.
- Several years of hands‑on experience in supplier qualification and development.
- Solid knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA).
- Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP (MM & QM modules).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
- Business‑fluent verbal and written English skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
