Sub Editor – Hindi Newspaper
- Edit, proofread, and rewrite news stories for accuracy, clarity, and readability.
- Write compelling headlines, captions, and summaries.
- Verify facts and ensure adherence to editorial standards.
- Handle print page planning and formatting.
- Edit and publish news stories for the website and other digital platforms.
- Meet daily publication deadlines while maintaining editorial quality.
- 2–10 years of experience as a Sub Editor/Copy Editor in a Hindi newspaper.
- Excellent command of Hindi language, grammar, and news writing.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and headline-writing skills.
- Experience in newspaper page planning and editorial workflow.
- Knowledge of current affairs and sound news judgment.
- Familiarity with QuarkXPress, InDesign or similar editorial software.
- Experience in digital news publishing will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
