Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and technically savvy Studio Manager to lead our live news production facility. You will be the operational heart of our broadcasts, ensuring that all technical teams, talent, and equipment are perfectly aligned to deliver accurate, timely news to our audience.

Key Responsibilities

Live Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day studio operations, ensuring smooth workflows for live bulletins and pre-recorded segments.
Team Coordination: Supervise and mentor studio staff, including floor managers, camera operators, and audio technicians.
Resource Scheduling: Coordinate studio time, talent bookings, and technical crew rotations to meet a 24/7 news cycle.
Technical Integrity: Ensure all studio equipment (cameras, lighting, graphics systems) is functional and regularly maintained; troubleshoot any on-air issues.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure all content aligns with broadcasting regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3–5 years in broadcast production, studio management, or a similar high-pressure media environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Media Production, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of newsroom automation, video switchers, and live broadcast workflows.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, calm under pressure, and the ability to make critical decisions in real-time.
Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as news events dictate.
