Overview:
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites applications for a full-time Student Activities Coordinator in Student Success & Development. The Student Activities Coordinator provides assistance to the Sr. Director of Student Success & Development and contributes to enriching the quality of student life for Cincinnati State students. The coordinator is responsible for organizing and promoting programs such as student clubs/organizations, events and social activities. Includes working with students, staff, community members to create a fun and engaging experience. Additionally, the position helps in planning volunteerism opportunities and service learning for students.
Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm with evenings and Saturdays during campus events. Flexible scheduling during peak periods.

Essential Duties:
- Assist with development and coordination of the annual program of events and projects/opportunities related to service learning through volunteerism in the community.
- Assist in promotion, coordination of marketing and implementation of programming activities that occur through the Office of Student Activities including promoting activities on and off campus (in person and virtual).
- Assist in preparation of budget, maintaining budget allocations for p-card purchases, and monthly reconciliation.
- Coordinating the operation and problem-solving of the Student Identification systems for the office.
- Maintain the upkeep and policies of the Student Identification systems for in person and on-line services.
- Maintain Student Activities website, social media presence, office eForms, and other technology.
- Hire student workers, plan orientation, training and supervision related to the Office of Student Activities.
- Assist in promoting, and maintaining a professional work environment.
- Maintain and prepare reports, data collection of daily activities of students’, event participation and other applicable reporting information as assigned. Maintain daily tracking log of students on Excel spreadsheet for the Student Activities NAS drive.
- Oversee daily operation of the Game Room including hiring, training and supervision of Game Room Students/Attendants. Plan and coordinate activities/tournaments in the Game Room.
- Coordinate approved fitness/leisure activities for students.
- Ability to be flexible and proactive in problem-solving and work with a wide variety of individuals and organizational personalities.
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of campus resources.
- Upholds school policies and regulations throughout all student activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline or Associate degree with 2 years’ experience in higher education student services.
- At least 2 years of working in higher education student environment that demonstrates skills in student support services.
- Proficient in Publisher, Excel and ability to utilize social media outlets.
- Master Degree
- At least 3 years of customer service experience
- A minimum of one-year experience working in higher education involving event planning.
- A minimum of two years’ experience working in higher education in student activities.
- Experience utilizing Ellucian/Informer
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications
- Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills. Able to implement solutions effectively without direct supervision.
