Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections for structural steel fabrication and erection work
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (IS, AWS, ISO, etc.)
- Monitor welding activities, including fit-up, alignment, and visual inspection
- Coordinate and verify NDT activities (UT, RT, DPT, MPT)
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, reports, and checklists
- Conduct stage-wise inspections and final quality checks
- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions
- Coordinate with production, site, and client representatives for quality matters
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes
- Understanding of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with NDT methods and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- B.Tech in Mechanical
