Stress Engineer – Boeing Products

Location: Wichita, KS (Open to relocation)

Pay: Open to discuss


Job Summary:

The MRB Stress Engineer evaluates and approves structural repairs for non-conformities in aerospace components. This role performs stress analysis to ensure repairs meet safety, certification, and airworthiness requirements while maintaining structural integrity and minimizing production delays.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze structural impacts on aircraft components.
  • Develop and validate repair solutions in compliance with FAR, EASA, FAA, and certification standards.
  • Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses to justify designs.
  • Review and approve production and in-service aircraft drawings.
  • Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing teams to resolve structural issues.
  • Document engineering analyses and ensure compliance with AS9100 and company guidelines.

  • Team player and self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to break down moderately complex projects into manageable tasks.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive in addressing technical issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5–10+ years of aerospace stress analysis experience.
  • Experience with metallic and/or composite components.
  • Knowledge of FEM, FEA, PATRAN, and NASTRAN.
  • Familiarity with DTA tools (e.g., CRPR) is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
