ABOUT THE ROLE
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) serves as a primary strategic and client-facing lead for a portfolio of accounts across the water sector and reports to the Director of Strategy and Growth.
This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, strategy, and growth. You will lead the client relationship, shape integrated marketing strategies and plans that support the client’s growth goals, and guide execution through internal functional teams. You will also identify and help secure opportunities to grow Bā’s partnership within existing accounts.
You will not be expected to do everything yourself. Success in this role comes from effectively leveraging internal expertise and leading through others.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
1 // Client Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the primary strategic lead for clients, guiding direction and collaborating with internal experts to develop and refine strategy
- Build and maintain strong, transparent client relationships grounded in trust and credibility
- Lead integrated marketing strategy across brand, content, digital, PR, creative, events, and campaigns
- Support the translation of complex technologies and offerings into clear, compelling positioning and messaging in line with water sector applications and use cases
- Collaborate with internal specialists (creative, PR, digital, project management) to ensure alignment between client strategic and tactical programs and campaigns
- Share insights from the market and from performance analytics to shape future efforts
- Anticipate client needs and bring proactive, strategic solutions
- Develop a strong understanding of the water sector, including regulatory dynamics, to guide credible and effective client strategy
- Guide audience definition, persona development, and go-to-market strategy
- Maintain visibility into scope, priorities, budgets, and timelines in partnership with project management
- Represent Bā with confidence and credibility in client meetings, strategy sessions and select industry events
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for client strategy, priorities and recommendations, in partnership with the Director of Strategy and Growth
2 // Delivery Oversight
- Partner with project management and operations to ensure client commitments are met and delivered on strategy, on time, and on budget
- Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon goals
- Lead status and strategy conversations with clarity and confidence
- Ensure consistency and quality across deliverables without micromanaging production
3 // Growth & Account Expansion
- Own revenue health and growth for assigned accounts, including retention, expansion, and forecasting
- Maintain visibility into client pipeline, renewal timing, and expansion opportunities in partnership with the Director of Strategy and Growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand scope based on client needs
- Contribute to proposal development and pitch support for new business opportunities
- Help shape new service offerings and tools based on market need
4 // Salary Range:
$80-$100K annual
