Storyteller cum English Teacher - Pondicherry Onsite

Job description

We are hiring full-time Storytellers cum English Teachers to run story-based classroom sessions

in partner schools across Pondicherry. Teachers will use our curriculum, app, and journal

activities to guide engaging, joyful learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Story Buddy sessions for Primary Grades, combining storytelling, classroom activities, group games, and creative expression tasks.
• Conduct 4-5 sessions daily as part of a structured, outcome-based program designed to build language confidence and creativity in children.
• Facilitate end-to-end classroom experiences — from storytelling and interactive learning to homework follow-up and student engagement tracking.
• Track participation and progress; support classroom management
• Work closely with training and curriculum teams for weekly planning
• Build relationships with parents and school coordinators

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in English / Education / Child Development
• 1–2 years of classroom or activity-based teaching experience
• Confident English speaker with clear communication
• Fluent in basic Tamil (for classroom connection)
• Passionate about stories, teaching, and child engagement
• Willing to learn and take feedback positively

Work Mode & Location:

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Pondicherry. Candidates who are not currently based in or around Pondicherry should be open to relocation.

Training Provided:

• 3-day onboarding training in Story Buddy methodology
• Weekly check-ins and mentoring from experts

Salary:

15,000 – 25,000 per month (based on experience)
