Role Description The Store Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Poonamallee, responsible for supporting day-to-day store operations. The role involves receiving, checking, and organizing incoming materials and components, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring proper storage and labeling. The Store Assistant will issue materials to production as per requirements, update stock levels, and assist in regular stock audits and reconciliations. The position includes coordinating with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of materials, as well as handling basic documentation and data entry in store systems. The role may also involve interacting with vendors or logistics partners for deliveries and ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly store environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Customer service and retail sales skills to handle internal stakeholders and support material requests effectively.
  • Organization skills to manage inventory, documentation, and store layout efficiently.
  • Training experience or willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures for store management.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and ERP or inventory software is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, such as moving and organizing materials safely.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling company property and records.
  • Minimum high school diploma; a certificate or diploma in logistics, materials management, or a related field is beneficial.
