Role Description The Steward role is a full-time, on-site position based at Hotel The Pamposh in South Delhi. The steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the dining and kitchen areas, including setting up tables, replenishing supplies, clearing dishes, and ensuring that all service stations are organized. The role includes supporting the food and beverage team during meal periods, assisting with basic food service tasks, and ensuring that guests receive prompt and courteous attention. The steward will follow safety and sanitation procedures, work closely with supervisors and colleagues, and assist in smooth daily operations of the restaurant or banquet areas. The position requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on providing courteous and attentive guest support.
  • Effective Communication abilities for coordinating with team members and responding clearly to guest requests.
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including basic table setup, service standards, and handling of service equipment.
  • Experience or willingness to learn in Food Service environments, including maintaining hygiene, cleaning, and assisting with service tasks.
  • Ability to participate in and benefit from Training programs related to safety, hygiene, and service procedures.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety standards in hospitality, especially in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, carry light to moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering is an advantage but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
