About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Pune or remotely. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, particularly in networking, virtualization, and security domains. This position requires a deep understanding of manual testing methodologies, networking concepts, virtualization platforms, and security protocols. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will lead testing efforts, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing and refining QA processes, managing defect lifecycle, and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in manual testing. A relevant educational background such as BCA, MCA, BTech, or BE, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology, is required. Candidates should have hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools, along with a good understanding of networking concepts, virtualization platforms, and security protocols. Knowledge of automation testing, performance testing tools, web services testing, and mobile application testing will be considered an advantage. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Accops, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Act as the key point of contact for all QA aspects of product releases, coordinating testing activities internally and with external vendors or contractors.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Manage outside contract testers to ensure timely and effective testing coverage.
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and boundary test cases based on requirements analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex issues related to networking, virtualization, or security, and collaborate with development teams to resolve these issues.
• Manage defect lifecycle, prioritize defect fixing, and ensure proper documentation and communication of issues.
• Establish and refine QA processes, metrics, and best practices to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with development teams to ensure product features are implemented correctly and meet end-user expectations.
• Oversee the release process, including validation, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
• Assist in automation framework enhancement, provide guidance for automation efforts, and help optimize testing workflows.
• Maintain a good understanding of server configurations, networking concepts, and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Perform testing related to security protocols, PKI, Ciphers, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles.
