Job Overview:

As a Senior Product Owner, you will play a critical role in translating business priorities into actionable product outcomes by owning the Agile team and partnering closely with engineering, product management, architecture, and business stakeholders.
You will ensure Agile teams have a continuous pipeline of well-defined, prioritized, and testable user stories that maximize customer value and delivery efficiency. Working across Financing platforms, you will support enterprise initiatives spanning multiple integrated systems while driving operational excellence, release readiness, and customer-centric product delivery.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong Agile leadership, technical acumen, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Product Ownership:
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the Agile team backlog to ensure a continuous flow of sprint-ready user stories.
- Translate product vision, business objectives, and customer needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Partner with Product Managers to refine product scope, prioritize features, and support technical roadmap execution.
- Drive Agile Program Delivery by ensuring backlog readiness, dependency management, and alignment with release objectives.
Product Delivery & Quality:
- Review and formally accept completed user stories by validating acceptance criteria, quality standards, and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and architecture teams to clarify requirements and resolve delivery blockers.
- Support UAT, production validation, and release readiness activities.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives to continuously improve team delivery.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead collaboration across Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Product Owners across multiple Agile teams to align backlogs for large cross-functional initiatives involving multiple integrated platforms.
- Facilitate synchronization meetings, dependency planning, and release coordination to ensure successful enterprise deliveries.
- Mentor Product Owners and Agile team members on backlog management and Agile best practices.
Product Operations & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with Operations teams to support release planning, production readiness, and post-release validation.
- Leverage SQL, Splunk, customer insights, and operational metrics to analyze product performance and prioritize backlog enhancements.
- Monitor backlog health, sprint predictability, delivery metrics, and product outcomes to improve team velocity and quality.
- Champion continuous improvement by leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance product ownership and Agile delivery processes.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
- 5–7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Software Engineer in an Agile software development environment.
- Proven experience managing Agile backlogs, writing user stories, and delivering enterprise software using Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, architecture, QA, operations, and business teams to deliver complex software solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Oracle Financial Services Lending & Leasing (OFSLL) or comparable financial services platforms.
- Experience working with AI-enabled products, AI-assisted product management, or intelligent automation initiatives.
- Experience leading enterprise delivery across four or more integrated systems.
- Experience supporting Finance platforms.
- Experience with enterprise release planning and operational readiness.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Product & Agile:
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Agile Program Delivery practices.
- Strong backlog management, prioritization, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams and managing cross-team dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
Technical & Analytical:
- Working knowledge of SQL and Splunk for production analysis, operational insights, troubleshooting, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint planning, and Agile reporting.
- Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Understanding of OFSLL or comparable enterprise financial platforms.
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging AI capabilities that improve product delivery and operational efficiency.
Delivery & Leadership:
- Strong operations planning, release management, and production readiness experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise initiatives involving four or more integrated systems.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints in a fast-paced Agile environment.
