Reporting - Finance Manager

Role - Full Time

Roles And Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and periodic financial plans.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and track actual expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to ensure effective cost control.
  • Monitor organizational profitability and key financial metrics.
  • Support management in financial planning and strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow statements.
  • Ensure adequate cash reserves for smooth business operations.
  • Forecast cash requirements and optimize working capital.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage fund requirements efficiently.

Book-keeping & Financial Records

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Perform ledger scrutiny and periodic account reconciliations.
  • Maintain complete financial documentation and supporting records.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries.
  • Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Present financial insights and variance analysis to management.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultants and auditors for statutory filings and assessments.
  • Ensure zero non-compliance penalties through timely submissions.

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Management

  • Monitor customer outstanding balances and aging reports.
  • Follow up with clients for timely collections.
  • Maintain healthy debtor days and improve collection efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the sales and account management teams regarding overdue receivables.
  • Prepare periodic receivable reports for management.
  • Verify vendor invoices and supporting documents.
  • Process vendor payments within agreed credit terms.
  • Maintain vendor reconciliations and resolve payment discrepancies.

Internal Audit & Controls

  • Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and statutory audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors during audit engagements.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Strengthen financial controls and implement corrective actions wherever required.
  • Maintain proper documentation of finance processes and records.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
  • Perform any other finance and accounts-related responsibilities assigned from time to time.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for budgeting, payroll, procurement, and business planning.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, statutory authorities, and vendors as required.
  • Provide timely financial information and support to management for business decisions.

  • Solid accounting experience with 3-5 Years
  • Advertising/marketing background will be an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office, Tally ERP, Tally Prime and Zoho Books.
  • Dealing with internal/external auditing experience
  • Adept and comfortable working through frequent change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and hands-on with excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Willing to be trained and to train others
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Diverse communicator to all levels within the organization
