Position Overview
The Lumen Senior Accountant for Intercompany and Cost Allocations will be part of a team of accountants, ensuring the accuracy of month-end reporting, performing substantial account reconciliations, and participating in process automation initiatives.

The Lumen Senior Accountant for Intercompany and Cost Allocations will be part of a team of accountants, ensuring the accuracy of month-end reporting, performing substantial account reconciliations, and participating in process automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile the intercompany and affiliate transactions using the Intercompany Matching and Reconciliation (ICMR) tool daily and work cross functionally with billing, MDG configuration associated revenue team member.
- Reconcile using Blackline Reconciliation and use best practice for support and groupings.
- Record affiliate transactions using Blackline Journal Entry tool to align per affiliate policy.
- Reconcile and contribute to the cost allocations comparability monthly.
- Contribute to the monthly affiliate roll forward of affiliate movements produced for Senior Leadership.
- Contribute to the optimization and transformation of the month end and reconciliation process to ensure best practice and consolidation of entries and reconciliation groups.
- Drive the Accounting department to enhance journal entry, reconciliation, and reporting KPIs.
- Proactively meet the training and development requirements for SAP S4 Hana and other financial reporting tools to meet information requests and month-end close deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with the manager on process inconsistencies cross functionally and be able to create and foster positive relationships across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant transactional experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana general ledger and the equivalent reporting tools such as AFO.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and delegation abilities.
- Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment as well as cross functionally with revenue and billing teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, Outlook Teams, and Copilot.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, particularly during month-end close and ERP implementation and testing periods.
