Job Description
Special Educator – Vocational Training
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Key Responsibilities
- Design annual lesson schedules and individualized lesson plans aligned with learner goals.
- Deliver person-centred vocational and functional skills training through practical, hands-on learning.
- Develop teaching-learning materials, assessments and evaluation tools.
- Maintain accurate trainee documentation, progress records and assessment files.
- Plan and facilitate work-readiness and real-world learning experiences.
- Partner with parents and caregivers to reinforce learning beyond the classroom.
- Conduct quarterly parent review meetings and track individual learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with programme teams to align training with production and workplace activities.
- Document classroom activities through photographs and videos for programme reporting and communication.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with individuals with neurodiverse needs, preferably adolescents and young adults.
- Experience in vocational training, life skills education or transition-to-employment programmes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, documentation and classroom management skills.
- A patient, collaborative and person-centred approach with a strong commitment to inclusion.
