Solutions Architect – AI, Data & Cloud

Job purpose

To design scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized cloud and data solutions that address customer requirements across analytics, digital transformation, and modernization initiatives.

The role will combine presales solutioning, technical architecture, and proposal response ownership, helping clients shape their technology roadmap while ensuring solutions align with organizational standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solutioning for client proposals, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical feasibility.
• Own the technical component of RFP/RFI responses, including architecture, approach, delivery model, estimation, and differentiators.
• Design architecture across applications, data platforms, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and delivery leaders to validate solution assumptions and define roadmaps.
• Present solutions to internal leadership and client stakeholders in a clear, structured manner.
• Create reusable assets—solution templates, architecture blueprints, BOMs, and cost models.
• Evaluate client environments and recommend modernization approaches (e.g., cloud migration, data platform modernization).
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, governance models, best practices, and compliance guidelines.
• Partner with sales and client engagement teams to influence deal strategy and contribute to winning proposals.
• Stay updated with market trends, cloud innovations, analytics capabilities, and new tools/technologies.

Key competencies

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting cloud and data solutions on at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 7-10 years overall IT experience across architecture, engineering, or solution development roles.
• Strong presales background, including RFP/RFI response creation, scoping, estimating, and building solution narratives.
• Proven ability to create high-level and low-level architecture, solution diagrams, and reference architectures.
• Cloud certifications preferred — AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience with data platforms, analytics solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines, or data engineering concepts (Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, etc.) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, and understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and microservices (inspired by EA JD).
• Strong communication skills with ability to bridge business requirements and technical delivery.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including delivery, product engineering, and client-facing roles.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and propose adoption aligned with business needs (picked from EA JD).
• Educational qualifications: B.E./B.Tech/MCA or relevant technical degree.
