Educational Qualification:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
 Postgraduate qualification in Operations Management will be an added advantage
Experience: 18-22 Years
Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Director

Position Overview
The Solar PV Production Manager will lead and oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations of
solar photovoltaic (PV) modules at the Bavla facility. The incumbent will be accountable for
delivering production targets aligned with business objectives while ensuring operational
excellence, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and workforce productivity.
This role demands strong technical expertise in PV module manufacturing, proven leadership
capability, and a strategic approach to continuous improvement and performance enhancement.

Key Accountabilities
1. Production Strategy & Execution
 Develop and implement structured production plans (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual)
aligned with sales forecasts and dispatch commitments.
 Drive optimum line efficiency, capacity utilization, and throughput improvement.
 Ensure seamless coordination with Planning, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Dispatch
departments.
 Establish production dashboards and MIS reporting mechanisms for senior management
review.

2. Manufacturing Process Governance
 Provide operational oversight across the complete module manufacturing lifecycle:
o Cell Stringing
o Layup & Bussing
o Lamination
o Framing
o Junction Box Installation
o Electrical Testing (EL, Hi-Pot, Flash Test)
o Final Inspection & Packing
 Ensure strict adherence to approved SOPs, technical parameters, and quality protocols.
 Implement structured root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action
(CAPA) systems.
 Continuously improve yield, cycle time, and process reliability.

3. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
 Ensure compliance with applicable BIS and IEC standards.
 Maintain complete traceability and production documentation.
 Lead customer audits, third-party inspections, and certification assessments.
 Drive zero-defect manufacturing initiatives and quality culture development.

4. Leadership & Workforce Management
 Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary production team including supervisors,
engineers, and shop-floor operators.
 Establish performance KPIs and conduct periodic performance reviews.
 Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous skill enhancement.
 Optimize manpower planning and shift allocation for maximum productivity.

5. Operational Excellence & Maintenance Coordination
 Collaborate with Maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime through preventive and
predictive maintenance strategies.
 Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
 Ensure adherence to safety policies and promote a zero-incident workplace culture.

6. Cost Management & Performance Optimization
 Monitor raw material consumption and control process losses.
 Improve operational efficiencies to optimize cost per watt.
 Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
 Support budgeting, cost analysis, and performance benchmarking exercises
