Role Overview:

We are looking for a Software Tester to validate the quality of our web applications. The platform has a Java-based backend and Angular frontend. The tester will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting tests, identifying issues, and working closely with developers to ensure defects are fixed and product quality is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review requirements and specifications to create detailed test cases.

· Perform manual testing of new features and bug fixes on the web application.

· Design and execute automated test scripts where applicable.

· Identify, document, and track defects using issue management tools.

· Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

· Perform regression, functional, integration, and UI/UX testing.

· Validate cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

· Ensure testing coverage for both frontend (Angular) and backend (Java APIs).

· Participate in release cycles, providing test reports and quality metrics.

Required Skills:

· Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

· Hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications.

· Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium or similar).

· Experience testing REST APIs (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

· Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

· Understanding of SDLC and Agile processes.

· Basic knowledge of databases and ability to write queries for validation.

· Good analytical and communication skills.

Preferred:

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

· Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

· Exposure to Angular applications and Java backend testing.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· 2–5 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
