Software Tester / QA Engineer

Job Title: Software Tester / QA Engineer Experience: 3-4 Years Location: Coimbatore Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Lead / QA Lead with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing, and proficiency in Web and Mobile application testing across multiple devices and platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing all phases of testing, ensuring the highest quality of product delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end QA efforts for web and mobile applications. Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for both manual and automated testing. Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure full coverage and compatibility. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define quality standards. Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly. Manage and mentor junior QA engineers as needed. Own and manage QA processes, tools, and test environments. Generate QA metrics and reports to track progress and quality trends. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing with at least 1-2 years in a lead role. Strong expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing. Experience in testing web and mobile applications (iOS and Android). Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies. Proficient with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or similar. Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, etc. Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Good to Have: Experience with performance or security testing tools. Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
