Software Quality Assurance Specialist

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and quality of software systems that support product configuration. This role combines software testing with product configuration, requiring the ability to analyze engineering specifications, translate product logic into system configuration rules, and validate system functionality through structured testing.

The position works closely with software developers, engineers, and product teams to ensure that product configurations are correctly implemented and that the system meets quality and functionality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform manual and automated testing on software applications
• Identify, document, and track software defects and bugs
• Work with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Review software requirements and technical specifications
• Ensure software meets quality standards before release
• Participate in meetings and provide testing feedback
• Maintain testing documentation and reports
• Analyze and understand product configuration rules and logic
• Enter and maintain product configuration data in a custom-built system
• Translate engineering specifications into system configuration rules
• Validate configurations to ensure they comply with engineering and manufacturing requirements
• Maintain documentation of configuration logic and processes
• Assist with testing and validation of configuration updates in the system
• Support ongoing updates when new products or options are introduced

• Knowledge of HVAC products or mechanical systems

Education Requirements

• Associate's degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred)

Salary

$40,000 to $55,000 DOE
