Day to Day

Indeed Apply is the world’s largest job application platform, processing billions of applications each year. The Apply team delivers a range of products and services that make it easy for job seekers to express interest in opportunities. Within Apply, the Auto-Apply team focuses on building a smooth, easy and fast application experience for millions of job seekers while ensuring high quality applications.

Our systems are large in scale and high-performing. You will work with an extremely talented team of software engineers, data scientists, and product scientists. You will regularly partner with teams outside of your team and your organization to make progress on critical projects.

As a Staff Software Engineer at Indeed, you will drive the design, development, integration, and maintenance of full-stack software systems ensuring reliable product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build large scale distributed systems that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), end-to-end GenAI pipelines to power core product features and complex decision engines in production.
• Define, design, and build systems/technologies to automate routine developer compliance chores
• Assume a pivotal role on the team, possessing comprehensive knowledge not only our own products but also these products interact with other teams’ products and services
• Architect new solutions and validate new ideas by either building on top of existing solutions or by prototyping new products
• Participate in code and design reviews across multiple teams to maintain high-quality standards
• Mentor and grow other software engineers across teams
• Communicate concisely and persuasively with product managers and other engineers in a cross-functional team

Skills/Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, addressing intricate issues of scale
• Solid sense of ownership and accountability as a key contributor in technical and product domains
• Experience in building developer tools, and in building or working on large scale systems
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms and Computer Fundamentals
• Proven experience architecting production-grade systems that leverage LLMs and inference models to solve complex business problems at massive scales

Salary Range Transparency

India 5,360,000 - 8,040,000 INR per year

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
