Description
The Alexa Endpoints Media Team delivers a multi-device media experience across all Alexa-enabled endpoints. We build the player that handles music, podcast, and audiobook playback for Alexa devices - whether it's a single device in the living room, a dozen devices spread throughout the house playing in sync, or a dynamic Home Theater of Echo Studios. Working on this team gives you the opportunity to contribute to a feature enjoyed by millions of customers and a strategic part of our expansion throughout the customer's home.
Beyond the scale of our impact, what makes this organization a great place to work is the level of invention in our product and the personal growth it provides as an engineer. Many of the problems we tackle start with "That would be awesome for the customer - but is it even possible to build?" There is tremendous opportunity for developers to learn and grow here.
We are looking for Software Development Engineers who want to join us on this journey to engage and delight customers as they enjoy their media throughout their whole home. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and development of consumer products used by people every day.
Key job responsibilities
Within the Alexa Endpoints Media Team, the Device Group Management team is specifically responsible for building software that delivers low-latency, low-cost, highly reliable, and highly scalable cloud services. These services interact with our Alexa devices to power seamless multi-device experiences for customers across their homes.
