Primary Responsibilities

A full-time Social Worker position is available in a school setting in Margaretville, New York. This role provides a unique opportunity to work directly with students, families, and school staff in supporting the emotional and mental health needs of the school community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and small-group counseling aligned with students’ IEPs, 504 Plans, and Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions identified by the MTSS Committee.
- Collaborate with families to connect them with community resources that enhance students’ well-being.
- Participate as a valued member of the counseling team, assisting faculty in crisis situations such as student dysregulation or emotional distress.
- Maintain regular working hours: Monday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM.
- Current and valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification, or actively pursuing LCSW licensure under supervision.
- Alternatively, New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW) credentials are acceptable.
- Completion of all required Mandated Reporter training in accordance with New York State education regulations.
- Approved New York State Education Department (NYSED) fingerprinting and background clearance.
- Documentation of Sexual Harassment Prevention training as outlined by NYSED guidelines.
