Role Description :


The Social Media Marketing Manager will own BIG FM’s complete social media and performance ecosystem, managing one of the largest radio-led digital footprints in India.

This role blends strategy + content + paid growth + analytics + governance at scale. The ideal candidate will come from the agency side, with proven experience in scaling large social media ecosystems, running performance campaigns, managing complex content operations, and driving measurable business impact.

This is a leadership role that transforms BIG FM’s social platforms into:

High-growth, creator-led, community-driven and performance-optimized brand engines.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Social Media Strategy & Platform Ownership

• Own end-to-end social media strategy across:

o 140+ BIG FM national and regional pages

o Platforms including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Threads and emerging platforms

• Define:

o Platform-wise objectives

o Content pillars

o Paid + Organic growth strategy

o Engagement and community KPIs

• Build a scalable national + regional operating model:

o Centralized strategy

o Local execution

o Brand consistency at scale

2. RJ-Led Creator & Content System

• Design and own the RJ-as-Creator Framework.

• Manage the RJ-led content creation process:

o Briefing

o Training

o Content review

o Performance optimization

• Build scalable content formats.

• Balance authenticity with brand consistency.

3. Content Strategy, Creative Direction & Quality Control

• Own social content architecture.

• Ensure high-quality, platform-native, trend-led content.

• Work closely with:

o Brand team

o Programming team

o Creative and Design teams

• Build content playbooks, calendars, and regional adaptation frameworks.

4. Paid Media & Performance Marketing 

• Own paid social and performance campaigns across:

o Meta Ads (Instagram & Facebook)

o Google Ads

o YouTube promotions

• Drive:

o Follower growth

o Reach

o Engagement

o App installs and IP discovery (where applicable)

• Work closely with performance teams/agencies

• Strong understanding of:

o Audience segmentation

o Retargeting

o Funnel-based campaigns

o Creative testing and scaling

5. Analytics, Insights & Reporting

• Own social media analytics and performance dashboards.

• Track and analyze:

o Reach, impressions, engagement rate

o Follower growth

o Watch time and retention

o Cost per result (for paid campaigns)

• Convert data into:

o Content optimization

o Platform strategy changes

o RJ performance improvements

• Present monthly and quarterly performance reports to leadership.

6. Social Media Tech Stack & Tools Ownership

• Hands-on experience with:

o Social media management tools: Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.

o ORM platforms: Locobuzz, Konnect Insights, or similar

• Set up:

o Publishing workflows

o Approval systems

o Crisis escalation protocols

• Ensure governance, speed and control across 140+ pages.

7. Community Management, ORM & Crisis Handling

• Own BIG FM’s online reputation:

o Community engagement

o Sentiment management

o Issue escalation

o Crisis response

• Ensure positive brand perception across all digital touchpoints.

8. Team Leadership & Agency-Style Execution Culture

• Lead and mentor a team of Social Media Managers.

• Bring an agency-style execution rigor:

o Speed

o Creative experimentation

o Data-first thinking

o Accountability

• Build SOPs, templates and scalable systems.

9. Campaign & IP Amplification

• Own social amplification for:

o Brand campaigns

o IP launches

o Shows, podcasts and events

• Ensure social is the strongest multiplier of BIG FM’s marketing investments.

10. Agency & Partner Management

• Manage:

o Social agencies

o Performance agencies

o Influencer networks

o Video production partners


Qualifications

8–12+ years of experience in Social Media, Digital Marketing or Content.

• Must have agency-side experience, managing:

o Large-scale brands

o Multi-page ecosystems

o High-volume content operations

o Performance campaigns

• Strong exposure to:

o Scaling social media platforms

o Growth marketing

o Creator ecosystems


Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Social Media or Marketing industry.
