We’re hiring a Social Media & Community Executive to work from our Gurgaon office, someone who doesn’t just “manage posts” but builds content people actually stop for.
You’ll be creating content, recording videos, conceptualising fiction and micro-dramas, and constantly experimenting with new, viral formats. This role is for someone who is social-first in instinct, thrives on ideas, and enjoys turning culture into content. You should genuinely love the grind of making things work — pushing for better hooks, sharper storytelling, and hitting deadlines without losing the fun. What you will be doing
- Write platform-native copy: captions, hooks, scripts, carousels, video text overlays
- Shoot and edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) end to end from idea to script to edit to publish
- Build creatives and graphics for daily posting (Canva or similar; design sensibility matters more than software)
- Manage YouTube: uploads, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags, Shorts strategy, community tab, and basic channel analytics
- Own the comments, DMs, and community conversations — respond, engage, and keep the audience close
- Identify and reach out to creators, community voices, and partner pages for collaborations
- Support community-led campaigns, contests, live sessions, and on-ground/virtual events (including our flagship summits and awards)
- Build relationships with our most engaged followers, turning audience into advocates
- Track what's working — hooks, formats, timings — and iterate fast
What we are looking for
- 1+ years in social media, digital content, or community roles (media or creator economy experience is a plus)
- Strong writing in English; Hindi fluency is a real advantage
- Hands-on video skills: shooting on phone, editing on CapCut / Premiere / InShot or similar
- Working knowledge of YouTube — how the algorithm, thumbnails, titles, and Shorts actually work
- Comfort with Canva or basic design tools
- A genuine interest in women's stories, women's health, and the issues SheThePeople covers — this is not a role you can do on autopilot
- Self-starter energy: you spot a trend at 9 am and have a reel live by noon
- Familiarity with analytics tools (YouTube Studio, Meta Insights)
- Experience with community events or creator partnerships
- Location: Gurgaon, in-office, full-time
- Reporting to: Founder / Editorial & Brand leadership
