Shopify Web UI/UX Designer

A Web UI/UX Designer specializing in Shopify focuses on creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive e-commerce websites tailored to Shopify's platform. Here’s an overview of what this role entails:

Role Objective

• Design and optimize e-commerce experiences on Shopify that enhance customer engagement, improve user flow, and drive conversions.
• Collaborate with developers, marketing teams, and stakeholders to translate brand values and business goals into an attractive and functional online store.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including account managers, developers, data scientists, and stakeholders to define and implement intuitive and user-centered designs.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas and interaction concepts..
• Design and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications, adhering to established design guidelines and brand standards.
• Develop and maintain design systems, UI kits, and pattern libraries to ensure design consistency across platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design, and apply these insights to improve our products.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the company.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and user research methodologies.
• Strong aesthetic sense and the ability to create visually appealing, polished, and effective user interfaces.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) and their impact on design decisions.
• Attention to detail and the ability to balance creativity with practicality in design solutions.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• A passion for continuous learning and an eagerness to stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies.

Preferred:

• Experience designing for responsive web design and mobile app platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for designing inclusive digital experiences.

Experience working in e-commerce and CRO is a plus.

This position is a full-time remote opportunity with hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
