Job Description
“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
Purpose
We’re looking for a dynamic Shop Manager to lead our retail team in driving sales and profitability, managing stock effectively, and delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll be responsible for analysing financial performance, implementing strategies to maximise income—including Gift Aid and community engagement—and maintaining high shop standards. The role involves overseeing administration, security, health and safety, and ensuring compliance with Shaw Trust policies. You’ll also recruit, train, and motivate both staff and volunteers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that champions personal development and community impact.
You must be willing to work flexibly Monday to Sunday and have the ability to travel within the local area to offer additional support in our local shops when required.
