Job Description: ServiceNow Developer

Role Overview

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for developing, configuring, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform to meet business and operational requirements. The role involves hands-on development, workflows, integrations, and continuous platform improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications primarily within ITSM modules
• Develop business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and workflows/flows
• Build and maintain ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP and MID Server
• Customize forms, tables, views, notifications, and dashboards
• Support CMDB implementation, data imports, and discovery
• Participate in platform upgrades, patches, and regression testing
• Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders during design and delivery
• Maintain documentation and follow ServiceNow development best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of ServiceNow development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting
• Experience working with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
• Understanding of ServiceNow data model and security model
• Experience with integrations and data sources

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – preferred
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation
