Job Description

🚨 HIRING | Senior Editors β€” On Site - BANGALORE

studiojadu.com

At STUDIO JADU we’re building animated short-format series & films for a global audience β€” and we’re expanding our creative & production team based in Bangalore.

Studio Jadu is a next generation animation studio founded by ex-TikTok and ex-YouTube leadership team and backed by Khosla Ventures. The studio is building an end to end production-to-distribution model powered by a hybrid workflow where humans control the AI, harnessing the best of both worlds, and keeping the creative decision making firmly in the hands of the human artists. Studio Jadu’s operations are based in California, Zurich and Bangalore.

🎬 Role

We are looking for a seasoned editor who is bored with the status quo and excited by the immense possibilities of AI powered, human controlled filmmaking. You will lead the editorial process for our internal IPs and pilot projects, working closely with Directors, AI Artists and Engineers.

πŸ” Key Responsibilities:

  • Narrative Architecture: Lead the assembly of anime style episodes, trailers, and shorts, ensuring rhythmic pacing, emotional resonance, and character driven storytelling.
  • AI Pipeline Integration: Work within our proprietary AI workflows to handle variable frame rates, upscaled assets, and generative layers.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Address common AI inconsistencies and hallucinations using clever editorial techniques, masking, and frame-blending.
  • Sound & Soul: Create sound design and music integrationβ€”ensuring the crunch of a battle scene or the ambience of a slice-of-life moment feels authentic and visceral.
  • Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with our tech team to provide feedback on our internal AI tools, helping shape the future of how AI video is edited.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior editors and creators on the nuances of anime-style editing (e.g., speed lines, freeze frames, and stylized transitions).

Who You Are

  • 7 to 10 years of editing narrative fiction, trailers and stylised narrative based advertising or branded content.
  • Expert-level mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
  • You have experimented with (or are eager to master) tools like NanoBanana, Veo,, Kling, ComfyUI and Eleven Labs. You see AI as a superpower, not a threat.
  • You understand codecs, color spaces (ACES/Rec.709), and the complexities of working with AI-generated frame data.
  • You thrive in a startup environment where the 'best way' to do things is being invented as we speak.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with 2D Animation workflow
  • A background in VFX Compositing.
  • A portfolio that includes high-energy trailers or actual anime style production credits.
  • An understanding of anime tropes, pacing, and visual language. You know the difference between a Shonen battle and a Seinen psychological thriller.
