Job Description
Company Description Chiplogic Technologies, founded in 2018, is an IP and Product Engineering Services company specializing in Semiconductor, Systems, IoT, and AI/ML domains. The company offers high-quality and reliable services, ranging from concept to silicon and final system solutions. Chiplogic also provides turnkey semiconductor design solutions and innovative AI/ML services through its proprietary VISARD? framework. Its technical expertise ensures excellence in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor and mentor, driving innovative solutions from concept through silicon validation and production. You?ll collaborate closely with system architects, digital design engineers, layout engineers, and test teams to deliver world-class analog IP for our next-generation [semiconductor / sensor / communication / power management] products. Key Responsibilities Design Ownership: Lead the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks such as amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, PLLs, LDOs, voltage references, bandgaps, comparators, and bias circuits. Architecture & Specification: Define circuit architecture and performance targets in collaboration with system and product teams. Simulation & Verification: Perform transistor-level simulations (corner, Monte Carlo, noise, linearity, etc.) and ensure design robustness across PVT variations. Layout Collaboration: Work with layout engineers to ensure optimal circuit layout for performance, matching, and area efficiency. Silicon Validation: Oversee bench characterization and debug of silicon prototypes; drive root-cause analysis for issues. Design Reviews: Present and defend design choices in internal reviews; provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Process & Tool Expertise: Stay current with semiconductor technologies, design methodologies, and EDA tools to continuously improve design quality and efficiency. Documentation: Generate comprehensive design documentation for design reuse and product qualification. Required: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or related field). 10+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design. Proven track record of successful silicon in production. Deep understanding of CMOS/BiCMOS processes and device physics. Strong expertise in analog fundamentals: noise, mismatch, feedback, stability, and layout parasitics. Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and related EDA tools. Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, source meters, etc.) for silicon validation. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred: Experience in [e.g., high-speed SerDes, power management ICs, sensor interfaces, or RF front ends]. Familiarity with mixed-signal verification (AMS, behavioral modeling). Prior experience mentoring or leading small design teams.
