What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate the core systems behind our buyer-intelligence and matching products — from data pipelines to customer-facing platform.
• Own features end to end: idea, design, build, ship, and the on-call reality of running them in production.
• Make pragmatic architecture and tradeoff decisions, and write code that the next engineer (or you, in six months) can actually understand.
• Diagnose and fix the performance, reliability, and UX issues that real production systems throw at you.
• Raise the bar through code review, technical direction, and mentoring as the team grows.
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with product and operations — not as a ticket-taker, but as someone who shapes what we build, not just how.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years building and operating production software, ideally at a startup or product company.
• Strong fundamentals: you reason clearly about data structures, systems design, and tradeoffs — not just frameworks.
• A track record of shipping. You bias toward simple solutions that work over clever ones that impress.
• Sharp debugging instincts and genuine care about quality, reliability, and the details users feel.
• The judgment to work independently, and the communication to keep a small team aligned without ceremony.
• Comfort with ambiguity — early-stage problems rarely come with clean specs.

Bonus points

• You've built customer-facing products at real scale.
• You've worked with AI/ML in production, or are excited to.
• You've made systems faster, more reliable, or a team more productive — and can point to how.
