Senior Software Engineer - Laravel/ PHP (Kolkata)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer for Lead position with deep expertise in Laravel, PHP Full Stack, combined with a strong interest in modern technologies, particularly AI-driven systems, automation, and intelligent workflows.

This role is ideal for an engineer who not only writes clean, scalable code but also actively explores emerging technologies and enjoys solving complex product and architecture challenges.

You will work on building, optimizing, and scaling web platforms, backend systems, and automation-driven solutions that directly impact business efficiency and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Laravel
• Build and customize high-performance solutions within the PHP ecosystem
• Develop APIs, integrations, and data-driven systems across multiple services
• Architect efficient database structures and backend logic
• Implement automation workflows and intelligent system behavior
• Explore and integrate modern technologies, including AI / ML-powered features
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and growth teams
• Ensure performance, security, and maintainability across projects
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel (PHP)
• Advanced expertise in Fullstack PHP Development
• Deep understanding of MySQL / database design
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs / third-party integrations
• Solid knowledge of backend architecture and system design
• Familiarity with modern development workflows & version control
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills

Modern Technology & AI Inclination (Highly Valued)

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Have practical exposure to AI tools, APIs, or automation systems
• Understand how AI can enhance product functionality or workflows
• Enjoy experimenting with emerging technologies

Note: Deep AI research experience is not required curiosity and applied thinking are key.
