Senior Automation Test Engineer (E2E & Integration Focus)

About the Role

Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in end‑to‑end (E2E) testing, large‑scale integration testing and cloud‑based systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, solid AWS knowledge, and a good understanding of modern UI automation tools such as Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end (E2E) test scenarios across complex, distributed systems
• Lead integration testing involving upstream and downstream systems (APIs, third‑party services, SaaS platforms)
• Develop and maintain automation test suites for APIs and critical user workflows
• Apply Playwright for UI automation with a good working understanding (not core framework ownership)
• Validate data flow, contracts, and error handling across microservices and integrations
• Perform testing in AWS environments, including environment validation, logs, and cloud dependencies
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Drive test strategy, test planning, defect triage, and root cause analysis
• Ensure test automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines
• Clearly communicate test status, quality risks, and release readiness

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Automation and Quality Engineering

Required Skills

• Strong End‑to‑End (E2E) testing experience for enterprise applications
• Proven expertise in Integration Testing
• Strong API testing and automation (REST, JSON, authentication, contracts)
• Solid AWS knowledge from a testing and validation perspective
• Experience testing microservices‑based and distributed architectures
• Good understanding of Playwright for UI automation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Strong understanding of test strategy, test design, and QA best practices

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
• Knowledge of contract testing, service virtualization, or test data management
• Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes environments
• Experience in Agile / SAFe delivery models
• Exposure to performance or security testing
