Senior QA Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the quality of our software products through comprehensive manual and/or automation testing processes. You will lead QA efforts, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure product excellence. Your experience and proactive approach will contribute significantly to delivering robust and high-quality solutions to our clients. Responsibilities Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents for clarity and completeness. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (Manual and/or Automation). Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities independently. Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing. Identify, document, and track bugs to ensure high product quality. Lead defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues. Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (if applicable). Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements. Ensure best practices for QA processes, tools, and methodologies are followed and improved continuously. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical assistance and code reviews (if automation is involved). Track and report key quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts. Stay updated with the latest QA trends, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency. Requirements Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience in software quality assurance .Strong expertise in software QA methodologies, testing processes, and best practices .Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing .Experience in Automation Testing (preferred but not mandatory), using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar .Strong knowledge of defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar .Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases .Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment .Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills .Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams .Experience with API testing and database testing is a plus .Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, Git, etc., is an added advantage .
